Quality management begins with the specification of standards that are included in your MLTSS contract. These proactive safeguards and protections include:

Depending on the federal authorities used in your MLTSS program, different requirements may apply with respect to each of these standards. Regardless of the authority, however, final responsibility for monitoring and improving the quality of MLTSS programs that serve Medicaid beneficiaries rests with the state Medicaid agency.
