Covered Services
Applicable Authorities
Federal authority to offer LTSS services has expanded significantly in recent years. The table below indicates the range of HCBS services that may be provided under state plan and waiver authorities. In order to offer HCBS services in an MLTSS program, you may invoke any of these authorities and combine them with a managed care authority for purposes of including them in an MLTSS program. (Nursing home, home health, and other state plan services may also be included.)
See the Federal Authorities section for more information.
