Power of Attorney, cont'd

There are two options for writing Power of Attorney documents:

  1. A power of attorney can be written in such a way that it remains in effect even if/when the person who is being helped with affairs becomes incapacitated. This is called a durable power of attorney.

  2. A power of attorney can also be written in such a way so that it does not become effective until/unless the person becomes incapacitated. This is called a springing power of attorney. (A chart or illustration to depict this difference?) (examples might be good; include terms in a knowledge check)
